This I Believe…
Family is everything, they are always with me no matter how I feel- sad, happy, angry, disappointed. They always give the shoulders to cry on. I know how much they love me on how they support me so far-my dad, mom and siblings- especially with my determination to study overseas. Since I was in high school, I intended to study abroad. It cost much money; however the only way to afford it was through the scholarship. And the language (English) is a very significant tool to get it. Since then I always participate in English competition (speech, debate). My family also helps me a lot; they tried to find any scholarship for me. Perhaps, I have joint many competitions and applied for many scholarships but I never made it before. Every time I went home with the failure (like: I didn’t win the debate contest or I didn’t get the phone call from the scholarship sponsor) my mom would welcome me with a big smile on her face and said “that’s fine, at least you have new experience now”. And when I felt bad, my dad would cook for me, my favorite dish is his spicy noodle. Moreover, my siblings would bring me out; sometimes we went shopping, beach or bookstore. Those are my favorite places. That’s why I never stop trying until- finally, my dream came true, I got it! Now, I’m in United States. All effort, tears, sweat, money have been paid. My achievement doesn’t only belong to me but also belong to my family-all their love and motivation.
And this I believe…I believe that no matter how many times I fall, my family never let me down to the ground, they are always with me…
